How to disassemble DELL XPS M1330 – part 2

In the first part of this the DELL XPS M1330 disassembly guide we removed almost all major hardware components including the hard drive, RAM memory module, WLAN module, keyboard and display assembly. Now in the second part we are going to continue the disassembly process by separating the top cover from the base enclosure so we can get access to system board and the optical drive. As you can see in this model we have a slot-loading optical drive which can not be pulled out like a conventional drive, so we will need to get inside the housing of the laptop. How to disassemble DELL XPS M1330

When it comes to cleaning or a hardware upgrade we can say that DELL XPS m1330 is a very user-friendly laptop. If you are owner of such a model then you may have already noticed that it has a service door located on bottom of the base enclosure which gives you an easy access to the cooling module and most hardware components. Thus you don’t need to disassemble the whole laptop in order to clean up the heatsink when clogged with dust or when you need to replace or upgrade some of the key hardware components such as RAM memory, WLAN module or CPU. How to disassemble Lenovo G570

Today we have another laptop that needs repair. This time it is Lenovo G570 and the reason to take it apart is a damage in the area where display hinges are atached to the base enclosure. As a result, the display becomes loose and unstable as if it has a broken hinge and the only solution is replacement of the base enclosure. Unfortunately before that, the laptop must be completely disassembled. What is a wireless repeater
