In this short guide I explain how to upgrade the hard drive in Lenovo 3000 N200 in a few steps.

1. Check your laptop’s manual to make sure that you buy the appropriate hard drive for your configuration.

Remember: For this model you need SATA drive , not IDE.

2. Important: Before you start the upgrade  be sure to turn off the laptop, unplug the AC power adapter and remove the battery.

3. Remove the two screws fixing the drive cover.

4. Pull the hard drive assembly to disconnect it from the motherboard.

5. Carefully remove the hard drive.

6. Remove four screws  ( two on each side ) fixing the drive to the metal cover that covers the electronic part of the drive.

7. Put the cover to the new hard drive and replace the screws.

8. Now you can install the new hard drive. Remember that most likely you will need to reinstall your operating sysrem.
